Absorb Away

Study-break medium transfer experiments are awesome, except when it comes to the actual exam. It would be nice if my brain retained info like paper and gel.
5.5 hours until freedom.

Staying Alive

With all essay writing finished, all that's left to do is flatten and assemble some life drawings, study for and write two exams, and pack for three weeks of parties and road adventures.

Champion Craftiness

If only for brief moments last night and soggy sidewalks this afternoon, here's hoping it's here to stay. At least until the ski season is over.
Have I ever mentioned that I love where I live?

Are You Listening?

There are wreaths on the lamp posts on our street, I am five days from the end of my semester and still the pavement dares to show its ugly grey face. This joke is getting less funny by the day, so my roommate and I have taken action.

Crafts are messier than I remember, but now our living room is a paper winter wonderland.
Mother Nature, take note.

Seam Stress Relief

With the first real day of relief from academic coma land, all the ideas that have been itching me so persistently these last few weeks can start to be put into action. After about a half hour of searching through bolts of fabric, this amazing gold and brown rose print just fell right off the discount rack at only $4,00/m and into my overexcited hands. It was swiftly transformed in to a dress in 2.5 hours. Maybe adding some bows or straps yet though...

All 3 metres of fabric (still with plenty left over) plus closures, put me back $18.10. Money savin' skillz!
Also on along the rainy trek to Fabricville, the warm inside of H&M caught my eye and presented me with $10.00 shoes. You just can't say no to that.

It was an all around economical day.

...But Surely

Today: Things came together nicely and got handed in effectively.

Although essays and exams are not over yet, snowflake cut-outs have already begun.

Near or Far

Plans to usher in the month with stupendous online proclamations of excitement were foiled by unexpectedly long hours in essay completion tonight. The delivery of said time-suck will bring about many sighs of relief, abating stress for only the short hours until my afternoon drawing critique. What I have to show for it is improperly documented below.

In its proper location it will make more sense.

This is something else that is close to making sense:

Special dates draw nearer, but somehow things feel far away still.

Frail Frost

Although it might be all I want right now, I am not allowing myself to get excited over the pitiful first flakes that fell this morning. The Canadian winter can do better than this. I am not giving it the satisfaction of my glee. Admittedly, being cooped up inside writing terrible essays isn't doing much to boost that glee factor, so its not fully restraint on my part.
But seriously, bring it already.

High Fives

Hours of dirty fingers on Friday still won't create the many more hours of clean fingers on my keyboard that will be needed to complete this next essay.

Karaoke and Fantastic Foxes might also be to blame for this pending time crunch.

Not a waste of time.

Buzzing Nocturne

Nocturnal tendencies are making for some late night productivity spasms in the midst of the increasingly-unfinished-essay strewn landscape of my weekend.

Fully self-propagated.

I am probably ok with it, for now.
